In case you aim to contribute to a healthier planet and a better future for our society by developing a smart, sustainable and biobased business idea: search no more! PlanB is for you! PlanB stands for „biobased.business.bavaria.“ and is THE Bavarian competition for „green“ startups and young entrepreneurs. PlanB was initiated in 2014 by a group of strong partners in the fields of industrial biotechnology, green chemistry, agriculture and forestry as well as partners from politics and finance / VC. With PlanB, we specifically address the needs of business founders along the bioeconomy value chains and support you on your own special way into green entrepreneurship.

| In which phases does the network/competition provide support? | PlanB is looking for participants covering all start-up phases from ideation until growth. However, companies that are already incorporated should not be older than 7 years. The will to incorporate should be given. |

| What services does the network/competitor offer? | PlanB is targeting the individual needs of the participating start-ups making use of its broad expert network. During the competition phase itself, a tailor-made coaching bootcamp offers essential input in terms of biobased start-up know-how. Support formats like B2B matching, financing support and pitch events shape the competition phase and it’s aftermath. In 2022/2023 prices worth approx. 20,000 € will be awarded. Additionally, the winning team can enjoy one year rent-free in a starter-unit office in the „BioCubator“ in the port of Straubing, offering flexible office and lab space ideally suited for bioeconomy start-ups. |
