In 2015 the BIO International Convention is headed to the heart of the U.S. biopharma industry. In close proximity to New York’s financial markets and Washington, D.C.’s regulatory center, the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area is home to more than 1,200 companies, ranging from the biopharma industry’s largest multinational companies to its fastest growing firms. In the past 10 years alone, the region has drawn nearly 4 Bio. USD in venture capital funding.

The BIO educational program has been designed with business and professional development needs in mind. In each session, thought leaders offer insights on issues essential to the industry and provide a wealth of information of strategic relevance to biotech business. Educational programming is divided into sixteen tracks including digital health, personalized medicine, orphan diseases, business development, intellectual property, oncology, regulatory approval and much more ( http://convention.bio.org/program).

Super Sessions, big-picture talks given by the movers and shakers in the industry, will include industry analysis, projections, and discussion on hot topics including coverage of the Scientific American Worldview report and Ernst & Young’s Beyond Borders Report. Keynote speakers will include journalist Tom Brokaw and digital health expert Dr. Eric Topol.

The 2015 BIO Exhibition will feature more than 1,700 exhibitors and approximately 160,000 square feet. The exhibition also includes 60+ state, regional and country pavilions who in turn host many companies from their regions.
