SUMMARY:CIC 2020
DESCRIPTION:CLIB will again organise its renowned international conference CIC2020 „Biotechnology: Building foundations for future generations “ on 6 and 7 February 2020. The conference will bring together experts in the fields of biotechnology and bioeconomy from industry\, academia and politics in Düsseldorf\, Germany. \nThe first day of the conference will take up the two megatrends of digitisation and accessing alternative protein sources through biotechnology to nourish the fast growing world population. Furthermore\, an interdisciplinary panel discussion will cover the topic public perception of bioeconomy\, asking the question if we are still fighting a battle already lost. The second conference day will address three areas with high relevance to the bioeconomy: future bioeconomy education programmes and their requirements\, the biotechnological utilization of CO2\, as well as the application of aromatics from lignin especially in the growing adhesives market.

SUMMARY:1st International Conference on Cellulose Fibres
DESCRIPTION:New International Conference on Cellulose Fibres\, the fastest growing fibre group in textiles\, the largest investment sector in the bio-based economy and the solution for avoiding microplastics.\nCellulose fibres are a success story within the textiles market with a cumulated annual growth rate (CAGR) of at least 10% over the last ten years. This makes them the fastest growing fibre group in the textile industry and also the largest investment sector in the bio-based economy world wide. The high growth rates are driven by the demand for natural fibres (and bottlenecks in cotton)\, the microplastic problem and possible bans for plastic fibres. All three drivers will continue to play a significant role in the future development of the sector. The conference will cover the entire value chain from the lignocellulosic feedstock\, dissolving pulp\, cellulose fibres – such as rayon\, viscose\, modal or lyocell and new developments\, to a wide range of applications\, woven textiles (clothing) and non-wovens (wipes and technical applications)\, as well as micro- and nanocellulose for food\, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. All these sectors have significantly gained in dynamics over the last few years. \n\n\nFocus of the conference\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the recent technology and market trends?\nWhat are the future market dynamics? Who is active and interested in this sector?\nWhat are the main challenges to develop the value chains and the market demand?\nWhich ecosystems and partnerships are required to drive innovation according to market needs?\nHow will the political environment continue to develop? What will happen with plastic bans\, microplastic avoidance\, bio-based vs. fossil feedstocks\, and sustainability

SUMMARY:4th European Chemistry Partnering
DESCRIPTION:The European Chemistry Partnering is an event format in which the focus is on discussion about innovation along the chemical value chain. It is aimed at decision makers\, innovation managers and investors in the chemical industry and its user industries\, as well as industry-focused stakeholders and qualified service providers and consultants. The ECP consists of the elements: Keynote Speech\, Partnering\, Pitches\, Exhibition\, Workshops and Final Panel. Companies can describe their innovations in short presentations (Pitches) and arrange appointments via a software tool in advance (Partnering). The ECP always begins at the Get-Together on the evening before and it ends with a joint breakfast on the next day. Satellite events organized with partners emphasize its importance as both marketplace and meeting point for decision makers. The European Chemistry Partnering was conceived and initiated by Dr Holger Bengs\, CEO of BCNP Consultants GmbH. The first event took place in 2017 and has been now organized twice a year since 2018.
